About Us

I'm Mary, Holly's mom. I grew up in a small city just outside of Denver, Colorado. My family has always been animal lovers--to date, I have shared my life with 6 dogs (standard poodles), 13 cats, 3 horses, and a Donkey! Now a resident of New York's Upper East Side, I have a more apartment-friendly animal companion in Little Holly. We love to spend our free time exploring the neighborhood and taking advantage of all the wonderful pup-friendly activities New York has to offer! I created this blog to share our adventures and to inspire pup parents (or would be pup parents) to give city dog ownership a try!

Holly Golightly is 18 lbs of pure love in a Chihuahua mix package! I rescued her about a year and a half ago from The Humane Society of New York, and she is the best gal pal a girl could ask for! She never fails to put a smile on everyone's face around her, and her joy and zest for life is absolutely infectious! You know what they say, every brunette needs a blonde best friend, and Holly is most certainly mine :)
